The Asphalt Analyser is fully compliant with the latest ASTM, AASHTO and BS Draft standards specifying equipment and procedures in determining the asphalt binder content of hot mix asphaltic and bituminous mixtures by the use of solvents.

The main advantages of this machine over those that use the ignition method are:

• After extraction there are no problems with destroyed minerals and all components of the mix are available for further investigation
• It produces quick results – 2 kg of asphalt mix can be divided and available for further sieve analysis within approximately 40 minutes.
• No calibration curves are required
• The results have a much higher accuracy and with better repeatability of results The machine can be set for the solvents dichloromethane (boiling point appr. 40°^°C), trichloroethylene (87^°C), or perchlorethylene (120^°C).
